Impossible, you think? Well, how are the healthy regions around the world able to maintain their good health and weight? You don’t see them worry about their diet or doing any strenuous workouts. So obviously there is a way, which I have discovered and I teach with this system. You will be surprised how simple and easier it is to lose weight and get in shape when you go with human nature and not against it.
Do you know why the vast majority of people who lose weight, end up regaining the weight back? The answer is very simple. It’s because they stop taking the action or actions they took to lose the weight. In other words, they stopped whatever diet or exercise program they followed that helped them lose weight and get in shape. I don’t think anyone could argue the reason why people end up regaining the weight back.
The real question is why do they stop taking the action or actions that got them in shape and helped them lose weight? I am sure it was not because they did not enjoy having a lean and healthy body, so what is the reason?
If you ask most fitness professionals they simply blame the people. They would tell you that people were simply lazy and did not have their priorities straight and a whole bunch of other reasons that always pointed back to the people. I happen to disagree with those fitness professionals and I have a very good reason why.
I have been in the weight loss field for over 25 years and I wasted the first almost 10 years following all the popular weight loss advice that I had learned from all my schooling and everyone had excepted as facts. The two things that caused me to question all the popular weight loss and fitness advice, was my upbringing and the fact that the vast majority of people who were losing weight were regaining the weight back.
Did you know that around 95% of the people who lose weight, end up regaining the weight back? Having that big of a percentage of people regaining the weight back I just could believe what my fellow fitness professionals believed, that it was simply the people's fault. What made it even more obvious that there was something seriously wrong with the popular weight loss and health advice was the fact that it was contradicted my upbringing.
You see, I was raised on a Greek island in a very healthy region, where people lived long healthy lives free from most of the diseases people suffer from these days and thin was the norm. The way we lived and ate in Greece, at the time I lived there, completely contradicted many of the popular advice that most fitness professionals give to people about weight loss and health. What made it even more interesting is that when I studied other healthy regions around the world, they had more in common with the way I was raised in Greece, than what I was taught in all my schooling.
So, Whose example would you follow, the weight loss industries example that has not produce any sustainable results in the past 40 years or the examples of the healthy regions around the world?

If you take a closer look at all the popular advice on weight loss and health you will find that they are based not on hard evidence or facts but on very poorly done research studies paid for by special interest groups that benefit from the findings of the studies. The conflict of interest within these studies distorted the conclusions of many of the studies. This is how we have ended up with fitness advice that completely contradicts healthy regions and produce no sustainable results. However, bad advice is only one of the reason why we are losing the weight loss battle. The second reason, which I consider the biggest reason why people can’t keep the weight off is how most weight loss and diet program ask people to make all the necessary changes in their lives. Their advice goes completely against human nature. Let me explain:
As you might already know, humans are creatures of habit. According to cognitive neuroscience, 95% of your daily actions and thoughts are controlled by your subconscious mind. In other words, 95% of your daily actions and thought are habitual behaviors. Only around 5% of your daily actions and thoughts are controlled by your conscious mind. This makes perfect sense because our subconscious mind has almost, unlimited processing power, whereas our conscious mind is very limited. Getting our subconscious mind to run most of our daily tasks frees our conscious mind to focus on the important stuff, like enjoying life.
If you look at how healthy regions around the world are maintaining their good health and weight you will notice that all the healthy actions they take that contribute to their good health are habitual actions. They don’t consciously think they need to eat more vegetables, or that I must take a walk or whatever else they do that keeps them in shape. All those things are habitual behaviors. Basically, through their traditions, they have trained their subconscious mind to take over all those actions, which frees up their conscious mind to enjoy life. In other words, their fitness program is on autopilot. Would you love a weight loss program that is on autopilot? I know I would.
Now, if you look at how all of the popular weight loss and diet programs approach weight loss, none of them help you develop habitual behaviors. As a matter of fact, many of the things they ask you to do in order to lose weight, you could not make habitual even if you wanted too, like counting calories, measuring your food or those over the top crazy workouts.
All of the popular weight loss and diet programs rely on people’s willpower and motivation to stick with their fitness plan. In other words, they rely on the conscious mind for the implementation of their program. As I said before your conscious mind is very limited and can only focus on one thing at a time. So, if you have to plan your meals every day, that means you take the focus away from other fun stuff that are happening during the day. If you are counting calories, you take the focus away from simply enjoy a nice meal. Basically, with the current methods of weight loss, you have to choose between having a lean and healthy body or enjoying life but you can’t have both.
If you look at that 5% of the people who are able to keep the weight off with the current methods of weight loss you will notice one thing. They are constantly focusing on what they are eating, how much are they eating, when they can fit in their workouts. Basically, their diet and workouts have become their life with very little room for anything else. Most people are not willing to do that and I don’t blame them because I am not willing to do that either. So, can you now see why most weight loss programs fail to help people achieve sustainable weight loss?
I did not get into the weight loss field to help people achieve temporary results, I got into the weight loss field to help people achieve sustainable results. This is why chose to take a different approach to weight loss, a sustainable approach.
